It is the mobile rocket launching system. It is the part of Indian army since 1998. Its maximum firing range is 65 km approx. It can fire the 12 rockets in less than the 44 sec. at 50 mph speed. Basically, it has total 72 rockets.
It has the optical siting system and locating radar. It used in the Kargil war. DRDO is still working on pinaka and enhancing the working an efficiency of it.
This pinaka will update and the future pinaka firing range will be from 120 km to 65 km in India.

It can detect the target from the distance of 500 km. It can detect 100 targets. And our fighter planes and jets are able to ruin the targets. India is planning to include these types of systems more in their army.
